Meet Ms. Connauton
Hello! My name is Shannon Connauton. I’m originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and made the move to the United States in 1987. I proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1995.
I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Denver and completed my Teacher Certification shortly after. I’ve been teaching for 12 wonderful years, and over that time I’ve had the joy of working with students from kindergarten through 4th grade. Every year brings new adventures, growth, and joy in the classroom.
Outside of school, I stay busy with my amazing family—my husband Frank and our six kids: Dillen, Fiona, Bode, Kale, Kai, and Hawken. Life is always full with our crew! We live on a farm and enjoy the simple pleasures of country life, especially gardening, camping, hiking, and skiing. We're also a big sports family and spend a lot of time traveling around for hockey and lacrosse games.
Teaching is one of my greatest passions, and I love building a classroom community where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired every day.

¡Hola! Me llamo Shannon Connauton. Soy originaria de Edmonton, Alberta, Canadá, y me mudé a Estados Unidos en 1987. Con mucho orgullo, me convertí en ciudadana estadounidense en 1995.
Obtuve mi licenciatura en Ciencias de la Universidad de Denver y poco después completé mi certificación docente. Llevo doce maravillosos años enseñando y, durante este tiempo, he tenido la alegría de trabajar con estudiantes desde preescolar hasta cuarto grado. Cada año trae nuevas aventuras, crecimiento y alegría al aula.
Fuera del trabajo, me mantengo ocupada con mi maravillosa familia: mi esposo Frank y nuestros seis hijos: Dillen, Fiona, Bode, Kale, Kai y Hawken. ¡Con nosotros, la vida siempre está llena de actividades! Vivimos en una granja y disfrutamos de los placeres sencillos de la vida en el campo, especialmente la jardinería, acampar, hacer senderismo y esquiar. También somos una familia muy aficionada a los deportes y pasamos mucho tiempo viajando para ver partidos de hockey y lacrosse.
La docencia es una de mis mayores pasiones, y me encanta crear un ambiente en el aula donde los estudiantes se sientan valorados, motivados e inspirados cada día.
