Mrs. Kristen Kent - Art
Kristen has a life-long love of art and art making. She graduated with a Master's in art education from Syracuse University. Kristen has been teaching art in various settings for over 15 years and as a certified art teacher for the past 8 years.
Kristen grew up in Idaho and has lived most of her life in both the northern and southern parts of the state. She lived in New York state for 9 years. During that time, she traveled the eastern part of the country, found a love for the Maine coast and earned her Art Education degree. She moved back to Idaho in 2021 and is so glad to be back in the mountains and natural beauty of Idaho.
When not exploring the art world with kids at school, Kristen enjoys traveling, gardening, cooking, playing outside, art making and spending time with her daughter and husband at home.
She is eager to build relationships with the students here at Alturas Elementary and is excited to become part of our community here at school.
Kristen siente una pasión de toda la vida por el arte y la creación artística. Se graduó con una maestría en educación artística de la Universidad de Syracuse. Kristen ha impartido clases de arte en diversos entornos durante más de 15 años y es profesora de arte certificada desde hace 8 años.
Kristen creció en Idaho y ha vivido la mayor parte de su vida tanto en el norte como en el sur del estado. Residió en el estado de Nueva York durante nueve años. Durante ese tiempo, viajó por la parte oriental del país, se enamoró de la costa de Maine y obtuvo su título en Educación Artística. Regresó a Idaho en 2021 y está encantada de estar de vuelta en las montañas y la belleza natural de Idaho.
Cuando no está explorando el mundo del arte con los niños en la escuela, Kristen disfruta viajando, haciendo jardinería, cocinando, jugando al aire libre, creando arte y pasando tiempo con su hija y su esposo en casa.
Está deseosa de entablar relaciones con los estudiantes de la escuela primaria Alturas y le entusiasma formar parte de nuestra comunidad escolar.
