Hi, my name is Irene Vargas and I teach 4th grade on the Spanish side. I was born and raised in this very valley, and I also went through the dual language program in Blaine County. I am so excited to begin my teaching career in the same place where I grew up and to serve the community that helped shape who I am today. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Boise State University in 2025 in Elementary Education, Teaching English as a Second Language, and an endorsement in bilingual Spanish education.
Hola, me llamo Irene Vargas y soy maestra de cuarto grado de español. Nací y crecí en este mismo valle, y también pasé por el programa bilingüe del distrito escolar de Blaine. Estoy muy emocionada por comenzar mi carrera en el mismo lugar donde crecí y por poder servir a la comunidad que me ayudó a convertirme en quien soy hoy. Obtuve mi titulación universitaria en Boise State University en 2025 en Educación Primaria, Enseñanza del Inglés como Segunda Lengua y una especialización en educación bilingüe en español.
